This unique course is designed to give delegates a thorough and clinically relevant understanding of occlusal concepts and how to apply them in clinical practice rather than focussing on confusing theoretical occlusion concepts, The course will link together form and function and show how a knowledge of tooth morphology and adjustment techniques will help create the occlusal scheme you want.
How to determine CR and determine whether recording it is important and if so how and at what stage to record it
When to use a Michigan bite splint vs a simple suckdown
How to fit and adjust an occlusal splint
How to correctly occlusally adjust teeth/crowns without destroying the morphology
Different types of bite registration techniques and which one to use when
Precision Bite records for final crowns in full arch cases
How to locate a 1st contact / interference clinically on a patient
Make a lucier jig and take a centric relation bite record
Sculpt posterior occlusal morphology using plasticine and giant tooth models
Examine the relationship between morphology and excursive movements
Adjust occlusal contacts and excursions on a Lucier jig, then a bite splint and then on a full arch of teeth on mounted models
